Tyndall Centre Research

The inter-disciplinary Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research undertakes integrated research into the long-term consequences of climate change for society and into the development of sustainable responses that governments, business-leaders and decisionmakers can evaluate and implement. Achieving these objectives brings together UK climate scientists, social scientists, engineers and economists in a unique collaborative research effort.

In 2005 they produced a technical report on a project examining the Blackwater Estuary. This project aimed to improve methodologies for fully assessing the economic costs and benefits of managed realignment of coastal defences.

Economic Impacts at Cuckmere Haven

English Nature (now Natural England) asked Risk & Policy Analysts (RPA) to prepare a short report on possible approaches to assess any potential changes in visitor numbers and provide a draft specification for a possible research project. This includes consideration of the implications of the visitor surveys carried out by the Seven Sisters Country Park.
